The OnePlus 3 is one of the best smartphones you can currently buy, but it’s far from being perfect, from a software point of view. Many users were complaining about auto-restart issues and call quality discrepancies, so the manufacturer came with a solution as fast as they could.
A new update, OxygenOS 3.2.4, was just released, and it’s currently rolling out in stages, meaning that not all users will receive the update notification right away.
If you’re dealing with these issues as well, but can’t wait until you get the update OTA, we’ve put together a short guide to download and install OxygenOS 3.2.4 On OnePlus 3.
Having just 26 MB in size, the update is basically a Hotfix Patch, but it’s what users need right now.
- Auto-reboot issue fix
- Call quality improvements
- Various fixes and carrier optimizations
- This update works just for the OnePlus 3. Don’t use it on other phones, as you risk damaging it.
- The update won’t erase your data, but it’s still recommended to perform a full backup of your phone, in order to avoid unpleasant situations.
- Make sure your battery level is above 60%. However, in order to prevent an accidental shutdown during the process, our recommendation is to start with a fully charged battery.
- Don’t skip any of the steps presented above, as you can brick your OnePlus 3.
