What is Samsung’s Galaxy Beta Program?

Through this program, the user – after registering – can access a beta version of Android 7.0 Nougat and return feedback about performance, stability and usability. The manufacturer will use all this information to improve the software.

As mentioned above, the Galaxy Beta Program is now available just for the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, but it should be available for way more devices, through mid-December.

Step 2: If you don’t have a Samsung account, create one, by submitting a ‘Galaxy Beta Program’ application, using the Registration menu on top of the app.

Step 3: After completing the registration, go to Settings > Device information > Download update and click on the ‘Software Update’ menu, in order to start installing the update.

How you cancel your Galaxy Beta Program account

Finally, when Samsung will release the official Android 7.0 Nougat update, you will most likely want to use that version instead of the beta and eventually cancel the beta testing program.

In order to do this, enter the Galaxy Beta Program app menu and simply select “De-register”. After this, simply check for the official update and install it on your Galaxy S7 Edge.
