As we have already discussed that the Chinese company, Huawei, is planning to come up with a cheaper version of Honor V9. However, we were expecting that the device would be called as Honor V9 mini, but now it seems that the device will be called as Honor V9 Play. But still, there is a fair chance that Huawei might come up with Honor V9 Mini in future.
Well, invitations have already been sent for September 6 event, in which the company will announce the Honor V9 Play, which is nothing but a cheaper version of Honor V9 that comes with HiSilicon Kirin 960 chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Sadly, no key specification is mentioned on the invite but we have few leaked images of the device.
So far, we believe that the V9 Play would feature a unibody metal design and also have a fingerprint scanner on the back panel. At the back, there would be single 12MP camera lens with Honor branding. The Honor branding will also be at the front side, below the display. The device would also have a shiny metal frame.
Coming to the specifications, we expect that the device would feature a 5.5 inch full HD display, Kirin 659 octa-core chipset, 3/4GB RAM, 32/64GB internal storage. Sadly, we have no more specification details about the device. As far as pricing is concerned, it has been said that the device would get a price tag of 1,500 yuan, which is equivalent to Rs 14500 or $228.
