Previously, there were a lot of rumors about Huawei’s plans to launch the Honor V9 in a few more markets, not just China, as Honor 8 Pro, so we weren’t surprised at all after hearing that the Chinese manufacturer already made it official in Russia!
Like expected, it’s exactly the same handset as the V9 for the Chinese market, so we’re talking about a 5.7″ display, with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, while in terms of camera it comes with a dual 12 MP setup on the back, a feature which seems to be very popular nowadays, able to shoot 4K videos.
Moving on to what’s under the hood, the Honor V8 Pro is powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 960 chipset, the same model used by the P10, so it’s obvious that this smartphone is a pretty serious powerhouse!
The processor teams up with 6GB of RAM, while the internal storage counts 64GB. The spec sheet is otherwise completed by Cat.6 LTE, dual SIM support and a whooping 4,000mAh, which shouldn’t have any problems in keeping the lights on for a full day of intensive use.
In terms of operating system, the Honor V8 Pro comes with Android 7.0 Nougat on top, but customized with the manufacturer’s own interface, EMUI 5.1.
For the moment, we don’t have any details about the pricing options, but rumors claim that it should be going on sale on April 5, in Europe, so it won’t be long until this information will be available.
