Yesterday, Honor had unveiled its flagship device Honor 8 Pro in Europe. But, it was not the only device from the company, to be announced; there is one more device, which is pretty much affordable.
Yes, along with the new flagship device, the new Honor 6C had been introduced officially, in the European market. It is supposed to hit the market, by the end of this month, and is priced at €229. It is believed to be available in three different color variants such as Silver, Gold and Gray.
Honor and Huawei have been doing a course of re-branding for some of their smartphones, giving a new name to them in other markets. For example, the recently launched Honor 8 Pro is a re-branded device, originating from the Honor V9 in China.
As for pricing, it is a well-known factor that the Honor 6C is going to cost much lesser, when compared to the 8 Pro. Besides all that, it is a notable point that the Nokia 6 is also expected to be launched in Europe in the same price range. Hence, we could say that it will have a competent rival.
The 6C is featured with a 5-inch, 720p touch screen display, with 2.5D curved glass on the top. On the other side, it sports a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2, and 1080p video recording; and a 5MP one for the front-facing camera. It is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435, 3GB RAM, and 32GB of expandable storage.
It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, with the Huawei’s EMUI 4.1 layered on top, right out of the box. It is packed with a 3,020mAh battery, hybrid dual-SIM slot, and as an addition, it is also featured with a fingerprint scanner. The mid-ranger weighs about 138grams.
On comparing with Nokia 6, the Honor 6C comprises a smaller and lower-res display, underachieving cameras and an old Android version, however the SoC is enhanced a bit. Hence, we could clearly say that it wins only with the battery capacity, which is 20 mAh more than that of the Nokia 6.
