Finally, Google has announced the much-awaited Pixel 2 phones and again, the company has tried to shatter all the past records with these two smartphones. Unlike last year, when the Pixel and Pixel XL have differed only by screen size, resolution, and battery capacity, this time Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL have so many things which are different from each other.
Talking about the design, both Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL seems to have a similar design pattern on the rear side, like the first generation models. However, there are several noticeable changes on the front side, be it the display resolution, aspect ratio or bezels. On Pixel 2, the bezels are comparatively larger than the previous generation Pixel but this is not the case with Pizel 2 XL, as its bezels are very small as compared to the previous generation Pixel XL.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Pixel 2 comes with 5.0 inch full HD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection and 2,700 mAh battery with fast charging support while the Pixel 2 XL comes with 6.0-inch P-OLED (1440 x 2880) display with 18:9 aspect ratio and rounded corners, similar to what we get in LG V30, along with 3,250mAh battery with fast charging support.
Now, most other specifications are same on both devices, be it Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB RAM, 64/128 GB internal storage, Adreno 540 GPU, 12.3MP rear camera with f/1.8 & optical image stabilization support, Dual-Tone LED flash, 8MP front camera, Bluetooth 5.0, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and USB Type C.
The 64GB variant of Pixel 2 gets a price tag of $649 while the 128GB variant gets $749. Similarly, the 64GB variant of Pixel 2 XL gets a price tag of $849 while the 128GB variant gets $949. The company also explains that the smartphones will go on sale on October 17 and for the limited periods, buyers will get a free Google Home Mini.
