The Upcoming EMUI 6.0 Will Be Based on Android Oreo 8.0

As we all know that Huawei is preparing for several launches in upcoming months, including the Mate 10, Kirin 970 chipset and now few leaks suggest that the company is also planning to launch the EMUI 6.0, which will be based on the latest Android Oreo. Now, it would surely be good if we see Mate 10 with EMUI 6.0 out of the box, however, it seems impossible.

Well, the leak has come from the Chinese social engine, Weibo, which says that the EMUI 6.0 will be based on Android Oreo and would hit the market by the end of the year. We know that the last version of the UI, EMUI 5.1 is based on Android Nougat, so it’s not surprising if the company is moving to Android Oreo.

As far as key features are concerned, it is believed that EMUI 6.0 would get the popular Picture-In-Picture mode, which is a popular feature of Android Oreo and would also feature better controls of notifications. The leaks also suggest that the EMUI 6.0 would have a new design and the “Setting Menu” would be now more explained & easy to use. In short, the interface is believed to become more “user-friendly”.

Sadly, we have no more information regarding the UI but we expect that the Mate 10 be the first device to get this EMUI 6.0, either out of the box or by an update. Some unverified leaks have suggested that the company might launch the EMUI 6.0 in or before October. If this is true, then surely Mate 10 would launch with EMUI 6.0, out of the box.
