However, before proceeding with the updating process, here are a few aspects you should consider:
- This ROM is just for the Lenovo K5 or K5 Plus. Don’t try installing it on another device!
- The update will completely erase the data on your phone, so it’s advisable to perform a full backup of your phone before starting.
- Make sure your Lenovo K5 or K5 Plus has at leas 60% battery before starting, in order to avoid an accidental shutdown. However, our advice is to start with a fully charged battery.
- Follow the steps below correctly and make sure you don’t skip any, otherwise you risk bricking your phone.

Install Unofficial CM14 On Lenovo K5 or K5 Plus
Step 1: Make sure your phone has the TWRP Custom Recovery installed. If you already have it, you can skip this step and proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Download the Unofficial CM14 for Lenovo K5 or K5 Plus and save it on your device.
Step 3: Download the Gapps package and save it on your phone. Here – Gapps For CM14
Step 4: Turn off your phone and press and hold Volume Down + the Power button, in order to boot into Recovery mode.
Step 5: While in TWRP, create a Nanrdoid backup, in order to avoid an unpleasant situation.
Step 6: Go to Wipe > Advanced Wipe and select Wipe cache, Dalvik cache, System and data. Swipe in order to confirm.
Step 7: Go to Install and select the unofficial CM14 for Lenovo K5 or K5 Plus zip file. Swipe in order to begin the installation. It shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes.
Step 8: Repeat the step above, but for the Gapps file.
Step 9: Go to Wipe > Advanced Wipe and this time select only Wipe Cache & Dalvik Cache. Swipe in order to confirm the wiping.
Step 10: Reboot your Lenovo K5 or K5 Plus.
