Install 7.1.1 Nougat on Sony Xperia X Performance
Step 1: Go to your phone’s Settings Menu, then search for the Build Number, in the About menu. Tap on it 7 times, to enable Developer Options.
Step 2: In the Developer Options menu, look for USB Debugging and enable it.
Step 3: Download the FlashTool and install the Flashtool drivers. Go to Flashtool> Drivers> Flashtool-drivers.exe, then install the Fasboot and Xperia drivers, as well as the tool.
Step 4: Download the Android 7.1.1 Nougat FTF File for the Xperia X Performance from above and save it in the Flashtool > Firmware folder.
Step 5: Open Flashtool.exe.
Step 6: Click on Flash device > Flash-mode, then select the FTF firmware file.
Step 7: Check the Wipe cache, data, APPS_LOG and USERDATA options, if you prefer a clean installation.
Step 8: Click on OK, which starts preparing your firmware file for flashing. It could take a few minutes.
Step 9: After the firmware is fully loaded, connect the phone to a PC, using a data cable. You will be prompted to attach the phone, by turning it off, then keep the Volume Down key pressed and plug the data cable in.
Step 10: As soon as Flash mode detects your phone, the firmware will start flashing. Please keep the Volume Down key pressed until the process is over.
Step 11: After the flashing is ready, release the Volume Down key, then boot your phone normally.
