Initially, the manufacturer released a couple of beta versions, but now, you can get the latest version of Google’s operating system, without any bugs or issues that might stop you from enjoying it at its fullest.

The update is an official Nougat build, so, if you can’t wait until you receive the notification, you can download Galaxy S7 Edge Android 7.0 Nougat update and then, install it manually, following the instructions below. The Galaxy S7 Nougat update will allow you to enjoy several new features brought by Android 7.0, including Doze (excellent for saving battery life, especially while the phone is not being used), improved notifications, new messaging apps, Seamless update, the Vulkan API and many others.

Below you can find a short step-by-step guide on how to install Android 7.0 Nougat firmware on Galaxy S7 Edge, so let’s begin, shall we?

Before installing this update on your phone, please consider the following aspects:

  • This firmware is just for the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge SM-G935F and Galaxy S7 SM-G930F only, so don’t try installing it on another device, since it won’t work, not to mention the risk of bricking your phone.
  • The update will erase all your data, so our recommendation is to perform a full backup before starting, in order to avoid an unpleasant situation.
  • Make sure that your battery level is at least at 50% before starting, otherwise you risk dealing with an accidental shutdown.
  • Please follow these steps correctly! We are not responsible for any damage that may occur.
