Recently, Chinese manufacturer OnePlus started rolling out the latest Nougat-based OxygenOS 4.0.3 update for OnePlus 3, to users from China, over the air. Like usual, the update is being delivered over the air, so it should take a while until everybody receives it.
On the other side, there are a lot of users who don’t want to wait until they get the official notification, so we’ve put together a short guide on how to install OxygenOS 4.0.3 on OnePlus 3 manually, in just a few steps.
Please consider the following aspects before proceeding with installation, in order to avoid any issues:
- This method works just for the OnePlus 3. Don’t try installing it on another device, since it won’t work.
- The update won’t erase your data, but our recommendation is to perform a full backup before starting, for the safer side.
- Make sure that the battery level is at least around 50-60%, otherwise you risk dealing with an accidental shutdown in-between process.
- Please follow the instructions below carefully and make sure you don’t skip any of them!
