Even though they just released a new update recently, OnePlus announced another update for the OnePlus 2 recently! We’re talking about OxygenOS 3.5.7 for OnePlus 2, fixing the lost IMEI number. Basically, it’s the same as the previous, except it is released for the users who lost their IMEI during the downgrading process or reverting from HydrogenOS.
The manufacturer just started releasing the update, in a phase wise manner, but if you don’t want to wait and install OxygenOS 3.5.7 on OnePlus 2 manually, everything you need to do is follow the steps in our quick guide, presented below.
Before starting the whole process, please make sure you consider the following aspects, in order to avoid an unpleasant situation or even bricking your phone:
- This method works just for the OnePlus 2, so don’t try it on another device.
- The process will not erase the data on your phone, but our recommendation is to perform a full backup and then proceed, for the safer side.
- Check your battery level. It has to be around 50-60%, at least, otherwise you risk dealing with an accidental shutdown, in-between process.
- Please follow the steps below correctly and make sure you don’t skip any of them.
