OnePlus 2 owners will soon be able to download the OxygenOS 3.5.6 update, fixing the persistent network drops issue. This update comes shortly after the 3.5.5 version was released, as many users were reporting this problem. If you’re among them as well, you should know that the manufacturer is currently rolling out this update over-the-air, in a phase-wise manner. However, if you don’t want to wait until you receive the official notification, you can install it manually, using the instructions below.
Before applying the update, here are a few aspects you should really consider, if you want everything to go smoothly:
- This OxygenOS 3.5.6 update is just for the OnePlus 2, so don’t try installing it on another device, since it won’t work.
- The update won’t erase the data on your phone, but our recommendation is to perform a complete backup before starting, in order to avoid any unpleasant situations.
- Make sure that your battery level is between 50 and 60%, otherwise you risk dealing with an accidental shutdown.
- Please follow the instructions below carefully!
