OnePlus didn’t forgot about OnePlus 2 users, as the Chinese manufacturer has officially started rolling out the OxygenOS 3.5.5 update for the handset, which, alongside other features, enables VoLTE support.
If you own one, you should know that the update is currently rolling out over the air, in phase wise manner, but if you don’t want to wait until you receive the notification, you can also update the phone manually, following our guide.

Here are a few aspects which you should consider before proceeding with installation:
- This method works just for the OnePlus 2, so don’t try installing it on another handset.
- The updating process won’t erase your data, but our advice is to perform a full backup before starting, so you can avoid an unpleasant situation.
- Make sure that your phone’s battery is around 50-60%, otherwise you risk dealing with an accidental shutdown.

Install OxygenOS 3.5.5 On OnePlus 2
Step 1: Go to Settings > About phone and look for the Build Number. Tap on it 7 times, in order to enable the Developer Options menu.
Step 2: In the Developer Options menu, enable USB Debugging.
Step 3: Download the ADB and fast-boot driver, according to your PCs operating system.
Step 4: Download the OxygenOS 3.5.5 for OnePlus 2 .zip file, and copy the ROM in the same folder where adb is installed.
Step 5: Turn of your phone and boot in Recovery Mode, then choose the Install from ADB Sideload/USB.
Step 6: Connect your phone you a PC.
Step 7: In the same folder where you have the ROM, press shift and right click, in order to open a command, and check your connection by typing adb devices. If your device is listed, you can start flashing the ROM.
Step 8: Type adb sideload File Name.zip and you will start the flashing process, which shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes.
Step 9: After the process is completed, reboot your phone.
Step 1: Download the OxygenOS 3.5.5 for OnePlus 2 file and save it on your phone’s storage.
Step 2: Turn off the phone and boot it into Recovery Mode, by pressing and holding Volume Down and the Power Button.
Step 3: Go to Wipe > Advanced Wipe and wipe data and cache, if you want a clean installation. If you don’t you can skip this step.
Step 4: Select your preferred language and choose the Install from Local option.
Step 5: Select the OxygenOS 3.5.5 .zip and click on install, in order to begin the process. Wait for about 10 minutes, until it’s completed.
Step 6: After the process is done, reboot your phone.
