Xiaomi announced the latest MIUI 188.8.131.52 for Redmi Note 3, the variant with a Snapdragon chip, is now rolling out over the air. This is a beta stable version, currently rolling out for the selected users. However, if you want to get early access to the improvements brought by this update package, you can also get it manually.
Below you can find a short guide on how to install MIUI 184.108.40.206 on Redmi Note 3, which takes just a few minutes. It’s also worth mentioning that this is a minor update, with a total size of 7.1MB.
Before proceeding with the installation, you can manually check for the update, by going to Settings > About Phone > System updates > Check for update. If it’s not available, you can continue with the guide below.
Please take a few moments and consider the following aspects, before starting the installation, in order to avoid any complications:
- This method works just for the Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon variant. Don’t try it on other phones, since you can damage them.
- The update may erase the data on your phone, so our recommendation is to take a backup, for the safer side, and then proceed.
- Check your battery level and make sure it’s somewhere around 50-60%, so you can avoid an accidental shutdown, in the middle of the process.
- Follow all the steps in the guide correctly, making sure you don’t skip anything.
