Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 owners are currently receiving the notification to update their handsets to the latest MIUI 220.127.116.11 Global Stable ROM. Even though it’s based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, the update brings several improvements, like increased system performance.
The update is now rolling out over the air and has a total size of just 73 MB, but it’s enough to improve the way your phone works. However, if you can’t wait until you receive the update notification, you can also manually install MIUI 18.104.22.168 on Redmi Note 3.
First of all, go to your phone’s Settings > About Phone > System updates > Check for update. If it’s still not available for your phone, follow the instructions below!
Warnings & Requirements
Before proceeding to installing the update, here are a few aspects you should consider:
- This update is just for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, with the Snapdragon chipset. Don’t try installing it on another device, as it won’t work.
- The update won’t erase your data, but it’s still advisable to perform a full backup before starting, in case something goes wrong.
- Make sure your phone as a battery level above 50%, in order to avoid an accidental shutdown. Our recommendation is to start with a fully charged battery.
