Released a few days ago, the Google Pixel is offering a high-end Android 7.1 Nougat experience, with the integrated Google Assistant. If you are a developer and want to test the operating system, you’re in luck, as the Google Pixel and Pixel XL system image is now available for downloading, thanks to the XDA Developers community.
The file has a size of 1.38 GB and, unfortunately, it’s not a flashable .zip, so you can use it just for testing and development purposes.
The Google Pixel system image includes the Android 7.1 Nougat operating system, as well as the October security patch, while the full, stock firmware will be available in the near future.
If you’re planning the install it on your phone, you can do it right now, as we’re providing the Google Pixel system image for both the 5.0″ version of the handset, alongside the 5.5″ one.
