Installation Process

(Method 1)

  1. Download the “Android 7.1.1 Update zip” file and transfer it to your device’s storage.
  2. Now, turn off your device and boot into the recovery mode. To boot up in recovery mode, you need to press “Volume Down and Power Button” simultaneously when the device is switched off.
  3. Once you are in recovery mode, just select the option “Apply the Update from SDCard”.
  4. Navigate to the directory where you have saved the “Android 7.1.1 Update Zip” and select the zip file.
  5. Wait, until every installation process completes.
  6. Reboot your device and your device now runs on Android 7.1.1. Check into “About Phone” section under Settings.

 

 (Method 2)

  1. The first thing you have to do is, turn on the “USB Debugging”, found inside Settings > Developer Option. If you don’t find “Developer Option”, go to “About Phone” and click on “Build Number” for 7 times.
  2. Now, download and install ADB and fastboot on your PC. If you already have one, ignore this step.
  3. Download the “Android 7.1.1 Update Zip” from the given link and transfer it to the “adb” folder inside the installation directory of your PC. For Windows, it’s inside C > adb.
  4. Now, turn off your device and boot up into recovery mode. Check Method 1 > Step 2 to know how to boot in recovery mode.
  5. Once you are in recovery mode, select “Apply Update from ADB”.
  6. Now, connect your device to the PC.
  7. Now, go to the “adb” folder on PC and press and hold “Shift Button” and then “Right-Click” using your mouse. Select “Open Command Window Here”.
  8. Check your device is connected or not by writing command “adb devices” in the command line.
  9. If your device is listed, you are now ok to install the update.
  10. Write command “adb sideload File_Name.zip” and remember to replace the File_Name.zip to the actual name of the update zip file which you have downloaded and transferred to adb folder.
  11. Wait, until every installation process completes.
  12. Reboot your device and your device now runs on Android 7.1.1. Check into “About Phone” section under Settings.
