After a very long time, BlackBerry has come up with a new device, Keyone, which launched in the Indian market today, for Rs 39,990. Now, talking about the specifications, it has a lot of things, which are unique when compared with other regular Android devices, like the iconic physical QWERTY keypad. The device runs on Android Nougat out of the box.
As far as specifications are concerned, this device features a 4.5inch full HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla glass protection, Snapdragon 625 Octa-Core chipset clocked at 2.0GHz with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is an option to expand the storage using external microSD card.
Coming to the camera, the device comes with a 12MP single camera sensor with dual tone LED flash and 8MP front-facing camera. Additionally, the device gets a 3,505mAh battery with fast charging support, USB Type C support, front-mounted (on the space button) fingerprint scanner, OTG support. Now, one interesting thing here is, this device also has a dedicated physical button on right side, which you can customize as per as your need.
Another very best feature of this device is, you get an option to set shortcuts on physical keys to open any app. Suppose, I personally use twitter a lot so I would set key ‘t’ to open twitter app. And to open the app, I would short-press the key. This feature is surely handy, especially for those who are social media addict.
As far as pricing is concerned, the device is launched in India for Rs 39,990 and will be available exclusively on Amazon. We hope that soon the device would be available on other e-commerce portals.
