The latest BlackBerry KeyOne is set to hit in the US and Canada on May 31st. It is the device for those, who love the physical keyboard, which was the signature of the BlackBerry brand, for a long time.
We haven’t heard anything about this handset since the last two months, but now there is a buzz regarding it. If you are in US or Canada, now it is the time for you, to get your thumbs over the BlackBerry KeyOne’s physical keyboard.
To have a short recall; the leading multinational electronic company TCL, had signed an agreement last year; and became the manufacturer and distributor for the BlackBerry branded smartphones. On Thursday, TCL revealed that the new BlackBerry KeyOne, will give the massive entry for those who are in the US and Canada.
Let’s have a detailed look on the availability and the expected price details for the KeyOne.
BlackBerry confirmed that in the US, the unlocked versions of this handset will be available in two variants, supporting GSM and CDMA networks. As of now, Sprint is the only carrier, which has confirmed offering this device, by this summer.
BlackBerry is keeping the doors open for the other carriers too, however none have been officially announced at the moment. In addition, the price details are also not yet confirmed, but it is likely to be $549.
If you are in Canada, you are so lucky, because pre-sale begins on May 18. The handset will be available via the Bell, Bell MTS, Rogers, SaskTel, and TELUS Business for only $199 CAD, with a two years contract.
Thus, the handset will be available in the US and Canada initially, and we have to wait a while, to know about its availability in the other regions. Meanwhile in the month of May, HTC is introducing its U 11 handset and even the Google I/O 2017 is happening; therefore it will be a pretty interesting month for all the device-heads out there.
