If you’re one of those die-hard fans who still believes that his favourite company can still be a top player on the smartphone market, we have some good news for you: BlackBerry DTEK60, the Canadian manufacturer’s latest handset, is now available for pre-ordering in the United States, from electronics retailer B&H.
Currently, the pre-orders can be made at the B&H store in New York, at 420 ninth Avenue, as well as through the online store.
Back to the BlackBerry DTEK60, it’s actually a very interesting smartphone, presented as the safest Android of the moment. It comes with a 5.5″ AMOLED display, rocking a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, while under the hood we can find a Snapdragon 820 chip, with a quad-core configuration, clocked at 2.15 GHz.
The processor is aided by an Adreno 530 GPU, 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. You also have the possibility of expanding the latter with up to 2 TB, thanks to the presence of a microSD card slot.
On the back, the BlackBerry DTEK60 has a 21 MP camera, with PDAF laser auto focus, teaming up with the 8 MP front-facing unit. It’s powered by a 3000 mAh battery and it’s running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, with the BlackBerry Productivity & Security Suite included. Also, a really cool feature is the Convenience Key, which makes your favourite app just one button tap away from opening.
You can get the DTEK60 unlocked, through B&H, for $499.99, which is a very good price, considering the phone’s spec sheet. If you pre-order it right now, you will also receive a Rapid Travel Charger and a Soft Shell Case, in Black, for free. Both of them have a retail value of $49.98. The phone works with AT&T and T-Mobile, as well as several pre-paid carriers.
