Taiwanese manufacturer Asus is constantly expanding its Zenfone line-up, the upcoming member to the family being the Zenfone 3 Go handset, a model which continues the confusing naming convention.
Apparently, this specific model is a revival of the company’s budget “Go” line, considering that the last model sporting this moniker was released back in 2015, with an arching back and a horizontally centered main camera.
However, the upcoming Zenfone 3 Go sports a completely new design, following the same line started by the rest of the Zenfone 3 family. To be more specific, we’re talking about a flat back, with a brushed metal finish, and no physical buttons on the front and back.
The camera is positioned in the top left corner, rocking a circular shape, offering the handset a more contemporary look. And we must admit that, design-wise, this smartphone looks very good, even though it’s just an entry-level model.
Moving on to the specs, the Asus Zenfone 3 Go will come with a 5″ display, featuring an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, while under the hood, we’re looking forward to seeing a Snapdragon 410 chip, alongside 2 GB of RAM. We don’t know yet if the latter is expandable, but, hopefully, the phone will have a microSD card slot.
Finally, the camera department is represented by a 13 MP main shooter, with 1.4 μm pixels, as well as a 5 MP front-facing camera.
Overall, the Zenfone 3 Go isn’t such an impressive model, but considering the price tag, of just 150 euros, is definitely a very good deal.
