Last year, at Computex, we saw Asus launch the ZenBook 3 and since that one went on to get itself a lot of acclaim in the market, ASUS has thought it right to give us a refresh of that same ultra-thin laptop. This one is billed to be named ZenBook 3 Deluxe and with its 12.9mm design, it doesn’t even weigh up to 3 pounds.
The ZenBook 3 Deluxe features new and improved specs over the ZenBook 3, with the most appealing to us being the improved storage space.
The first ZenBook 3 launched with 12.5 inches of screen, and the ZenBook 3 Deluxe improves upon that with its 14-inch screen instead. Not only will the screen on the newbie have 1080p FHD resolution, the body also comes with three USB Type C ports as opposed to just one on the former model.
Of the three USB Type C ports, two of them would have support for Thunderbolt 3. For hardware, the ZenBook 3 Deluxe is powered by Intel’s Core i7 chipsets and carries a massive 16GB of RAM. Storage has also been improved and bumped up to 1TB. On the top of that panel is a keyboard that has been designed with a key travel space of just 1.2mm.
Alongside the glass precision track-pad is a fingerprint reader at the top right corner. For all of the above amazing specifications, ASUS is asking that interested customers pay $1699, but you cannot get it now. According to office statement, this unit would only be available from the month of May onward.
Regards the launch in India, there has been no official statement, but since we have till May, there is still more than enough time for an announcement and launch there.
