We already knew that Asus will be present at the CES 2017, but now we also have an idea about what to expect from the Taiwanese manufacturer, as they have just unveiled a video teaser for a special event, going by the name of Zennovation.
It’s pretty obvious that they are planning to launch a couple of devices that will complete the Zen line-up, most likely smartphones, considering that the Qualcomm Snapdragon logo is also present on the official invites.
However, the focus is now on the video teaser they launched today, which makes things clearer!
Through the video, the outlines of two smartphones can be spotted, meaning that we might as well see to Asus Zenfone handsets on January 4. On the other side, they could be just two different shots of the Zenfone AR, a device which was already confirmed to make its debut at CES 2017.
If we’re allowed to take a wild guess, we’d say that Asus is planning to introduce the first member of the Zenfone 4 family during the show and this totally makes sense, since this year we saw the Zenfone 3-branded devices, during the same period.
On the other side, there’s a tiny problem! Back in 2014, Asus launched a smartphone called Zenfone 4, so we might as well see Zenfone 3’s successor, but under a new name, in order to avoid creating any confusion.
For the moment, this is everything we know about the Zennovation event, but we will be back with more details, as soon as anything new comes up.
