Technology fans were a bit surprised when Apple first introduced the iPad Pro, as they couldn’t see the whole purpose of introducing such a big device. After all, a 12.9″ tablet is almost as big as a laptop – actually, even bigger than some of Apple’s laptops!
However, the Cupertino-based company had one big plan for their big tablet: convince people that it can easily replace a laptop. This was confirmed by the latest iPad Pro ad that Apple just released on their YouTube channel, emphasizing all the things this powerful device can do.
To be more specific, the ad, which last for 30 seconds, presents the iPad Pro and all the available accessories, like the controversial Apple Pencil and the Smart Keyboard. The multitasking features are also shown, as well as Slide Over and picture-in-picture.
What’s interesting is that the ad is the first the company makes for the 12.9″ tablet since its initial release, which was marked with the “A Great Big Universe” spot.
The iPad Pro comes with a 12.9″ display, with a resolution of 2048 x 2732 pixels, covered with scratch-resistant glass. It’s powered by the Apple A9X chip, with two cores clocked at 2.26 GHz, alongside a PowerVR Series 7 GPU, 4 GB of RAM and 32 or 128 GB of internal storage. It also features an 8 MP/1.2 MP camera duo, fingerprint scanner and a 10,307 mAh battery.
Currently, you can also buy a 9.7″ iPad Pro model, starting at $599, while the 12.9″ model starts at $799. Despite these not-so-pocket-friendly price tags, the iPad Pro models helped Apple to reach in Q3 of 2016 its first iPad revenue growth in 10 quarters.
