Another photo of the upcoming iPhone 7 has been leaked recently. This is one of the clearest photos we’ve seen so far, showing the new iPhone 7 being held. There is another video of this highly anticipated device as well. What can we tell from these new leaks? ObeyGeek has some tasty insights for you.
The most recent leaks confirmed that the iPhone 7 will indeed have a redesigned set antenna bands. This new design is said to produce better reception in general, with up to 40% increase to be expected. You can still expect a high quality uni-body design that has also been improved for better durability.
The biggest surprise of them all, however, is the fact that iPhone 7 is said to be water resistant. Yes, we are finally getting an iPhone with proper water resistance certification. It is not a secret that previous iPhones have great design that allow them to prevent water from entering the casing too easily. In the iPhone 7, however, seals and additional protection measures are added as well.
I suppose water resistance is another reason why Apple decides to remove the headphone jack from iPhone 7. It is much easier to seal a Lightning port than a standard headphone jack, especially when you’re trying to keep the device very thin.
Lastly, we can now expect to see a Space Black iPhone 7 on its official release. I have to say, I really like what we’ve seen so far.
Storage Options And Pricing
Similar to previous iPhone’s, the iPhone 7 will offer a selection of storage options. The base model, however, will no longer offer 16GB of storage. Instead, iPhone 7 will have a minimum of 32GB of internal storage. Considering we now live in storage-intensive world, where videos and high quality pictures – and of course apps and games – consume storage in big chunks, a 16GB model no longer makes sense.
There is also the possibility of a 256GB iPhone 7. This one needs to be taken with a grain of salt, but a move to bigger storage does make sense. Whether we will actually see one remains a mystery.
What about pricing? For the same price as the 16GB iPhone 6S, you will get a 32GB iPhone 7. That’s a move towards the right direction. Apple will keep prices at the same level, but offer more internal storage in return.
