Apple as today rolled out the fourth beta of its iOS 10.2.1 update to developers and public beta testers. Recall that the Tech company has for weeks updated developers with beta releases of its updates.
The update comes some days after Apple released the third iOS 10.2.1 beta version to developers and a month after it rolled out the second beta of the major OS.
The OS is available to developers via the Apple Development Center or can also be downloaded through the over-the-air (OTA) channel using a properly configured profile.
Following the release of the fourth beta of the OS, it is yet unknown the features packed in the iOS 10.2.1. The minor updates of the 10.2.x, however, contain bug fixes although no major feature changes were noticed. The minor 10.2.x update also focuses more on performance improvements.
As found in previous roll outs, the iOS 10.2.1 beta sports no feature changes but the OS update brought with it the Unicode 9 emoji, a new TV app, Messages Screen Effects, Music improvements, and other bug fixes.
Recall that Apple at the start of its second update roll out for the iOS 10 OS made a few tweaks available with the update. The update which comes with the new TV app which serves primarily as the Apple-deigned TV guide aims to help users of the smartphone simplify their Television experience while bringing major TV shows, movies and other updates to the fingertips of users. It also featured the Sign-On feature which allows cable subscribers to access their cable information and access all live contents using a one-time sign in with their credentials. Note, the Single Sign-On feature is available for cable providers including CenturyLink Prism, DirecTV, Dish, GVTC, GTA, Hotwire, Metrocast, Sling TV and a few others.
