AMD is one of the companies that is rising from the rock bottom; now surprisingly, it has made heads turn, with their self-assurance that the new AMD is underway. Since, after a long journey, now the company has officially announced its first graphics card, under the Vega series – dubbed, the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition.
The Radeon Vega Frontier Edition is a part of the Radeon Pro family of GPUs, which is mainly designed for computer applications.
Further, this powerful ultra-end graphics card, would excel in Virtual Reality entities, advanced visualization, machine learning and game development, way better than just playing them. To put the matter in another way, it would work efficiently, while playing games but not in an excessive state.
Falling in line with the rumors, the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition would be packed to come with 64 Compute units and 4096 stream processors that put the estimated performance of the Vega Edition at 13 TFLOPS touted by Titan XP.
What’s more! The Radeon Vega Frontier Edition has an enormous 16GB of super fast HBM2 (High Bandwidth Memory) with a total bandwidth memory of 480GB/s. But, unfortunately, the AMD has closed the doors before the rest of the specs have come out. Yet, we still believe it may open the gate as soon as possible.
The graphics card will be offered in two different configurations, first one is a standard Blue version with air cooling, Gold logo and LED lighting; and the second one is water-cooled Gold professional edition. Yes! This is an alternative color i.e. it would completely look in Gold apart from the Blue logos and LED.
When will it be released? Of course, the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition will start shipping, in every retailer’s shops from Q2 2017 onward. Yet, we don’t have any information regarding the price details.
