Acer Iconia Tab 10 (A3-A50) Entertainment Focused Tablet Announced With Quantum Dot Display, Four Speakers and Sub-Woofer

Acer had a broad line-up of laptops in every major category, form student Chromebooks to high-end gaming rings. Now, Acer has planned to expand its product portfolio by taking the wraps off its Acer Iconia Tab 10.

As of now, the company hasn’t spilled any words about the specs details for this device, but surprisingly, they’ve released some images along with some information, right before the Taipei Computex event set to happen on May 30th, in which the device is expected to be launched.

Take a look on this beautiful tablet, in the new image. Yes, the image clearly infers that the device has thick bezels, with power and volume buttons at its sides, while the USB port and a headphone jack are placed at the top. The display screen is really wide, which is shrewdly eye catchy.

Furthermore, the Iconia Tab 10 comes with a model number of A3-A50. One of the standout features is, it is built with a Quantum dot display. The technology had been previously used in certain Sony’s smartphones and Triluminos TV. If you’ve have known, the tech is also carried over by other companies in other names, such as in the Samsung QLED flagship TV and Philips Color IQ TV.

To be precise, the Quantum dot offers more accurate color range with higher brightness and saturation than the conventional LCD display.

On the other hand, there are four speakers and a sub-woofer loaded with the device, for a richer and more immersive audio experience. The speakers are DTS-HD-rated; they make use of the high-quality audio codec with Acer’s own MediaMaster software. You can watch films, TV shows, movies and music with high quality sounds.

On the software front the device is supposed to run on Android 7.0 Nougat, out of the box. Under the hood, the device is Powered by a MediaTek Quad-Core processor and its battery can squeeze charge for up to 8 hours.

The connectivity options the new Iconia Tab 10 supports, include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, which is faster for streaming. Interestingly, you can even charge the device and use various connectable peripherals like, mouse or keyboard simultaneously. Moreover, the price is expected to be lower, for a standard 2-in-1.

The price and availability details aren’t disclosed yet. In any case, if you would like to know more about this upcoming tablet, wait until the event to be held on May 30th in their home country.
